Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter, especially of atomic and molecular systems. This major can equip a student for graduate or professional study or for entry level positions in laboratories or businesses.

CHM221 Organic Chemistry II 4
CHM250 Quantitative Analysis 4
CHM335W Thermodynamics and Kinetics 4
CHM336 Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy 3

Two of the following:

CHM310 Medicinal Chemistry 3
CHM322 Biochemistry 3
CHM440 Inorganic Chemistry 3

Requirements for a Minor in Chemistry

22 hours of coursework, consisting of the following:

Plus 6 or more credits at the 300-level. 6
