Let's get you ready for EC
Jump Start is an exciting day that will prepare you for attending Eureka. Sound scary? Naw. It is anything but scary. It's FUN!
What happens at a Jump Start?
- meet with an academic advisor
- register for classes
- secure housing information
- complete financial aid packages
- have your id photo taken
- meet and make friends with other new students
- mix and mingle over lunch
- finalize insurance forms
- make arrangements to pay student accounts
- familiarize yourself with campus |
How do I get started?
The first order of business is to be sure you have made your deposit to attend Eureka College in the fall. You can check on this information by calling the Office of Admissions at 888-4-EUREKA or emailing Admissions.
Okay, now what?
Select a Jump Start day that works for you. Since this is such an important event for you to participate in, we've planned several dates (with identical programs) for you to choose from:
- Thursday, April 10
- Saturday, April 12
- Wednesday, May 14
- Monday, May 19
- Saturday, June 21 |

What else do I need to know?
Each Jump Start session begins at 9:00 AM and goes to 3:00 PM. Parents are VERY encouraged to attend.

Get to know
Jump Start's Leader
Sarah Melton knows Jump Start as an attendee...and now as program coordinator. So she literally knows Jump Start from the "inside out".
Sarah was named Program Coordinator in January 2008 and came back to work at her alma mater. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts and drama in 2003. She is scheduled to complete a master’s degree in college student personnel administration from Illinois State University this spring. She recently completed an internship in Greek life at Eureka College.
As Coordinator of Student Programs, Melton’s responsibilities include student orientation, special events programming, commuter and international student support services and Student Foundation advising.
