Can I bring my siblings to Jump Start?

We recognize and appreciate how valuable the entire family is to a student’s academic success; however the Jump Start program is designed for adult family members.  Family members are encouraged to keep young children at home because childcare will not be provided.

Where should I call if I need to arrange a reasonable accommodation for my disability for my Jump Start visit?

If you need a special accommodation to fully participate in the Jump Start program, please contact the Student Programs and Services office at (309)467-6420 at least one week prior to your reserved Jump Start date.  Jump Start participants will be responsible for providing their own wheelchairs during their time on campus.

What should I bring to Jump Start?

Pen, pencil, and paper.
Light sweater or jacket.
Umbrella, money for miscellaneous expenses, comfortable shoes and clothing ( you and guests will do much walking across campus).

Most of all - bring along a positive attitude!
