FOUNDED -

Eureka College was founded in 1855 by anti-slavery activists affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Eureka maintains its church affiliation today, while welcoming students of all backgrounds and faiths.

 

STUDENTS -

Enrollment is just under 700 students. While most are from Illinois, our students also come from states coast to coast and from several other countries.

 

FACULTY -

The members of the Eureka faculty excel at scholarship, teaching, and mentoring students. Three of every four faculty members have the highest degrees in their fields.

 

STUDENT-FACULTY RATIO -

12:1, with many classes smaller.

 

PROGRAMS OF STUDY -

Eureka offers more than 50 majors, pre-professional programs, and other programs of study.

 

THE REAGAN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM -

Named for our most prominent alumnus, President Ronald Reagan, the Reagan Leadership Program is a highly competitive undergraduate scholars program, offering distinctive co-curricular opportunities and full-tuition scholarships.

 

CAMPUS -

Eureka's tree-lined campus has 112 acres with 24 buildings, including two featured on the National Register of Historic Places.

 

LOCATION -

Eureka, Illinois is a peaceful residential community of 5,000 located centrally between Peoria and Bloomington/Normal. It is only 20 minutes to each. Chicago is only two hours away and St. Louis three hours.

 

Our excellent location and strong community have helped make Eureka one of the safest campuses in the nation.

 

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES -

With more than 40 clubs and activities to chose, extra-curricular life at Eureka is active and diverse.

OFF-CAMPUS STUDY -

Eureka students can study off-campus through programs in countries around the globe. For many off-campus programs, your financial aid travels with you, making your international experience an even greater value.

 

FITNESS -

Eureka students stay fit and energized at the NEW Bonati Fitness Center.

 

FINANCIAL -

Eureka administers millions of dollars of financial assistance every year, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study awards (campus jobs). Most of our students - 90% - qualify for financial aid.
