Eureka College believes that the application of knowledge acquired is the best preparation for excellence in students’ professional and social lives. The Durward Sandifer Mentorships allow students to foster a professional relationship with a mentor coupled with hands-on experience, as their field of study becomes a career path.
All full-time students who enter Eureka College as first-time freshmen and meet the following criteria may apply for consideration to receive a Durward Sandifer Mentorship:
- a 3.50 cumulative GPA at the end of the sophomore year at EC
- an established record of leadership while at EC
- an established record of service while at EC
A Sandifer Mentorship can be anywhere in the world as approved by the Mentorship Director. There is an established budget for each mentorship. Read more about mentorship guidelines.
Named for a Eureka College alumnus (Class of 1924) who was a key figure in helping establish the tenets of the United Nations, Durward Sandifer students receive an incredible opportunity for global leadership.
