GLENN RIDDELL

 

Glenn Riddell graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., and then earned a spot at Yale Divinity School. Following ordination, Riddell served several churches in the west before coming to Eureka in 1966 as minister of the Eureka Christian Church. Three years later, he came to Eureka College as Director of Religious and Cultural Affairs, serving upwards of 20 years in jobs including chaplain, teacher, alumni director, director of residential life, and even women's tennis coach. After leaving Eureka, he continued to serve in ministry.

 

Riddell and his wife, Margaret, are the partents of five children - two of whom are Eureka graduates - and five grandchildren.

LANA CHENEY HASENYAGER

 

Lana Cheney Hasenyager graduated from Drake University as an elementary teacher. She and her late husband, the Rev. Marvin Cheney, came to Eureka in 1970 when Marvin became pastor of the Christian Church. Cheney Hasenyager taught at Davenport Elementary School in Eureka for 25 years, superivsing many student teachers from EC's education program.

 

Cheney Hasenyager became a member of the Eureka College Women's Board early in its history and has served in every office in that organization. Follwing her husband's death in 1996, Cheney Hasenyager remained in Eureka and continued her service to church, college, and community.

 

Cheney Hasenyager has two daughters - one of whom graduated from Eureka College - and is married to Gilbert Hasenyager '56. They have seven grandchildren.
