The 99th Birthday Tour In the Footsteps of Ronald Reagan

February 6, 2010

Eureka College observed the 99th anniversary of the birth of alumnus Ronald Reagan on February 6th with a tour to
Reagan-related sites, led by Reagan’s eldest son, Michael Reagan.

The event began with breakfast in the Cerf Center and a tour of the Ronald Reagan Museum. Next, participants traveled via charter bus to the Ronald Reagan Birthplace in Tampico and the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon. The Dixon stop included “Ronald Reagan’s 99th Birthday Celebration Luncheon” at Sauk Valley Community College with Michael Reagan as keynote speaker.  The tour returned to campus in late afternoon.

This was the first time Michael Reagan had visited any of his father's boyhood homes. It was quite a road trip.
