Dreaming of Spring

spring

Hello Fellow Alums -

February has been an exceptionally busy month. The Eureka College Board of Trustees and the Alumni Board both held their winter meetings early in the month along with the College's annual celebration of Founders' Day on February 6. Ronald Reagan's 99th birthday was also celebrated that same weekend. The College hosted a bus trip with Michael Reagan to President Reagan's Birthplace in Tampico and Boyhood Home in Dixon, culminating in a scholarship luncheon at Sauk Valley Community College. Later this month, 20 alumni, trustees, and friends of the College visited southern California on a tour of the USS Ronald Reagan, Reagan Ranch, and Reagan Presidential Library. All this amounts to a very exciting and busy month for the Alumni/Development office. As February draws to a close, I anxiously anticipate the coming of spring with its warmth and beauty - and of course - Alumni Weekend.

Looks like spring will be a busy time as well. It's nice to know that our alma mater is vibrant and bustling with activities and events which bring us together and stirs our EC pride!

Logsdon’s Studs Terkel Project to be featured during Alumni Weekend

Alumni Weekend will feature several activities that will appeal to our alumni, one which is a presentation by Dr. Loren Logsdon, Professor Emeritus of English.
Dr. Logsdon will make a presentation that captures the spirit of Eureka College as it is reflected in a collection of alumni memories. All of the combined stories will weave a rich tapestry of Eureka College memories from the '40s, '50s, and '60s.

Mark your calendars: Alumni Weekend - April 23-25, 2010
