Greetings!

As I write this it is the first official day of summer. Most of the students are back home, but the summer camps have begun and there are a lot of construction workers with hard hats from one end of campus to the other. A walk from Vennum Binkley to Reagan Center will afford you the following views: an new sidewalk on College Avenue, heavy equipment for the new window installation in Vennum Binkley, drywall installation for the Mark R. Shenkman Research Center and Archive project, fiber optic cable running to the phone hut and the new residence hall rising from the dirt of the old “Baja”. The last stop is Reagan Gymnasium where a new basketball floor acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves has been installed. I encourage you to stop by and see all the improvements that are being made to our campus. It will truly make you proud! If that isn’t on your calendar this summer, why not meet us in Nashville or Chicago or in Peoria for one of our upcoming events?  We would love to see you on campus or on the road.

Dr. Logsdon’s Studs Terkel Project

Dr. Loren Logsdon, Professor Emeritus of English, has captured the spirit of Eureka College history in a special project he fondly calls the “Studs Terkel Project.” The project is a collection of alumni memories and stories which weave a rich tapestry of the Eureka College experience during the '40s, '50s and '60s.
