Greetings!

Summertime and the living is HOT! Wow…I can tell by watching the weatherman each morning that if you are in the Continental United States this summer, the question, "How's the weather? " will get the same answer from everyone you ask! I have found that the weather has had a bit of an isolating effect this summer. Not as many folks out interacting with each other, and for good reason. Social media, though, seems to have picked up. Eureka's Alumni Facebook fan page has had a record number of responses to our weekday posts. That tells me that you, our alumni, seem to enjoy seeing a member of our squirrel population taking it easy on campus, or wishing a favorite coach or professor happy birthday. Community comes about in a lot of ways, and if face-to-face interaction is stymied for a bit by the heat or location, you can always reach out to Eureka Alumni via Facebook for a moment and reconnect.

Dr. Loren Logsdon, Professor Emeritus of English, has captured the spirit of Eureka College history in a special project he fondly calls the "Studs Terkel Project." The project is a collection of alumni memories and stories which weave a rich tapestry of the Eureka College experience during the '40s, '50s and '60s.

The book of these stories is available in the NEW online EC Bookstore >

Graduation Pathway

The Alumni Board has created a brick pathway on which graduates proceed to the Rinker Open Air Theatre on Commencement Day. You can purchase a brick and have it engraved with your name or organization, that of a loved one, or to commemorate the memory of a special person. Your support will help develop and support many programs at Eureka College.
