Attention Post-1970 Alumni of EC

The official Eureka College version of the Studs Terkel project concluded in 2011 with the publication of 'Neath the Elms Eureka College 1940-1970. However, the Alumni Office would like to continue the spirit of that project by inviting alumni who atteneded after 1970 to send us your stories. Do you have a favorite EC professor or coach that you would like to thank or praise? Do you want to tell about special friendships that were formed during your student days? Is there something important that you want to say about Eureka College? We invite you to send your stories for the Maroon and Gold.

Below are questions that we sent out to alumni to serve as guidelines for their stories. You may answer all of them, choose one or two, or simply write your own story without using the questions and upload it using the form below.

  1. Why did you first become interested in pursuing your education at Eureka College? What attracted you to the college? Describe how you first became connected to the college.

  2. What were your first impressions of EC? What were the college's strengths and weaknesses?

  3. Were there faculty, administration, or staff members whom you remember with special fondness and appreciation? Why do they stand out in your memory?

  4. What special experiences do you recall from your time at Eureka?

  5. As you look back on your life, how would you describe the influence that Eureka College has had on you and your career?
