Sole Memories
Judith Kramer

April 1 through May 14, 2011

Artists' Reception -
Friday, April 1 - 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Gallery. The public is welcome.

Kramer’s exhibit showcases a collection of shoes and incorporates sculpted toes, evoking the memories of those who have worn the shoes.  Her inspirations are derived from the surrealist movement, specifically René Magritte and Salvador Dali.  The idea of sculpting toes onto shoes sprung from an imagined conversation Kramer had with Magritte in reference to his painting “Philosophy in the Boudoir.”
