EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka College Department of Athletics will host the first annual Kids in Motion Triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 11 on the campus of Eureka College. Area youths from ages six through 15 are eligible to compete in the event that will begin at 8 a.m.
Participants will begin with a swimming event inside the Reagan Center Pool. Following the swimming event, participants will compete on a closed bicycle course throughout the Eureka College campus. The final leg of the triathlon will be a run that will culminate near the Reagan Center. The event will be split into five different age groups, with distances for each leg of the event varying by each group.
“This is an exciting event that will benefit the children involved and to promote being active,” Eureka College Director of Athletics Paul Bryant said. “Eureka College will continue to be a proponent of physical health and being fit.”
