Baseball Home Opener Moved to Thursday
EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka College baseball home opener against Illinois College scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been moved to Thursday at 3 p.m. The start time has been pushed back 48 hours to improve the condition of the playing surface at Eureka’s Henry Sand Field.
The Red Devils are hoping to win their home opener for the first time since sweeping a SLIAC doubleheader from MacMurray on March 25, 2008.
Eureka opened the 2010 season with a 2-4 record on its spring break trip to Texas last week. The Red Devils posted victories over Southwestern Assemblies of God last Tuesday and LeTourneau last Wednesday during their six-day trip.
