Red Devils Compete at Maxwell Park
NORMAL, Ill. – Eureka College senior Nathan Pritzker (Morton, Ill.) posted a 71st place finish with an 8K time of 33:55, leading the Red Devils’ men’s team for the first time since 2009, Friday afternoon at the Titan Invitational at Maxwell Park in Normal, Ill. Sophomore Amanda Schreck (Monmouth, Ill./Monmouth-Roseville H.S.) paced the women’s squad with a 29th place finish in the 5K.
Pritzker finished 35 seconds ahead of teammate Jon Helgeson (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington H.S.) to lead the EC men’s team for the first time since earning a 51st place finish at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship in Elsah, Ill. on Oct. 31, 2009.
Schreck’s final 5K time of 23:58 was Eureka’s best in the women’s race. Senior Meghan Campbell (Princeton, Ill./Olive Branch H.S.) was next for the Red Devils with a 25:55 effort for 50th place.
The Red Devils will be in action next at the Bradley Classic at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 14.
