Just a short note to let those who participated in our 2008 E-Tribe Golf Outing know how much their help was appreciated. We had 155 golfers play in our outing. We had approximately 170 people or businesses either sponsor a hole, donate raffle or silent auction items, or contribute monetary donations. Besides that, we had our major contributors that sponsored golf balls, lunch, dinner, the beverage cart, and gifts for every golfer. We feel that we made enough money to buy a new whirlpool for the athletic training room and to outfit each student-athlete in every sport with a travel uniform when going on the road to play a contest. Our goal is for each athlete and sport to look alike as they represent Eureka College. Because of the June 2nd golf outing, we will be able to do that.
When a big event finally takes place, there are so many people to thank. I'm not going to use any individual names, only group names. You can see below that we were blessed with great help. The ladies from Eureka College that helped us in the Clubhouse and on the course were so valuable. Without the help from the people a Pine Lakes, this event could have never goten off the ground. They have been so helpful. I can't say enough about the businesses, alums, and friends of Eureka College who made this event what it is with gifts, donations, raffle items, and sponsorships for the holes, raffles and silent auctions.
But, most of all, I would like to thank the most important people of the day, the golfers. You are what the day is all about. To meet our limit of golfers is a tribute to you. Prizes, gifts, donations, and sponsors add to an event, people and participants make the event. Because of you and all the people that took part in the event, our student-athletes and coaches at Eureka College next year will have some additions to their programs that they would not have had otherwise. Thank you from all of us at Eureka College and save the date of June 1st for next year's E-Tribe Golf Outing. We want you all ack next year!!
