Chris Wakid To Be Featured on WMBD-TV Thursday Night
EUREKA, Ill. -- Eureka College senior running back Chris Wakid (Danvers, Ill./Eureka H.S.) will be the subject of a feature story on WMBD 31 Sports on Thursday night, receiving the station's weekly "Extra Effort Award". The story, scheduled to air during the 10 p.m. newscast, will focus on Wakid's ability to balance extracurricular and athletic success during his four-year stay at Eureka College.
Wakid, who owns a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average in biology, is Eureka's second-leading rusher this season with 258 yards and is tied for the team lead with two touchdown runs.
Wakid and the Red Devils will play their final UMAC South Division game this Saturday at noon against MacMurray in Jacksonville, Ill.
