Eureka linksters off the tee after Spring trip to Kentucky
The Eureka College golf team opened its season at the Bulldog Spring Invitational hosted by Union College in Pineville, Kentucky. The golfers faced challenging playing conditions both Monday and Tuesday, and many were playing their first competitive rounds of the year. The final round was even shortened to nine holes because not all teams were able to complete the back nine due to the weather.
Eureka finished eighth out of nine squads with a 27-hole team score of 532. EC was nine strokes behind Virginia Intermont.
Brady Wildenradt (Delavan, Ill./HS) was the highest finisher for the Red Devils, tying for 30th with a score of 129 (84-45). T.J. Schopp (LeRoy, Ill./HS) was close behind in 32nd place (86-45-131).
The Red Devils will next tee it up March 14-15 at the Millikin Spring Opener.
