Red Devils Finish Play at Illinois Wesleyan
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Eureka College senior T.J. Schopp (LeRoy, Ill./LeRoy H.S.) shot a two-round score of 172, leading the Red Devils at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational at Ironwood Golf Course in Bloomington, Ill.
Schopp’s round of 85 on Saturday was Eureka’s best individual effort of the two-day event. He finished the event in a nine-way tie for 79th place overall.
Host Illinois Wesleyan, led by medalist Shane Smith, won the team title with a score of 606, nine strokes better than runner-up Millikin. Nebraska Wesleyan, Carthage and the Illinois Wesleyan JV rounded out the top-five.
The Red Devils will be back on the course on Friday, March 8 at the Millikin Big Blue Classic at Red Tail Run Golf Club in Decatur, Ill.
