Schopp Places Eighth at St. Francis Spring Invite
JOLIET, Ill. – Eureka College junior T.J. Schopp (LeRoy, Ill./LeRoy H.S.) gave the Eureka golf team its first top-10 individual finish of the season when he shot a 75 to finish eighth and lead the Red Devils at the St. Francis Spring Invite at Wedgewood Golf Course in Joliet, Ill., Tuesday afternoon.
Schopp fired a 37 on the front nine before shooting a 38 on the final nine holes to finish in a seven-way tie for eighth place. He finished just three shots behind individual champion Nick Guido of North Central.
Senior Joe Pioletti (Eureka, Ill./Eureka H.S.) was next for the Red Devils with a single-round score of 83 for a 56th place finish.
