EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka College men’s basketball team, in conjunction with the city of Eureka’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, will host its inaugural 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Friday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. The tournament will be held outdoors on the campus of Eureka College near Henry Sand Field.
The minimum age to participate is eight years old and boy’s, girl’s, men’s and women’s divisions will be available. T-shirts will be provided for every player that registers and trophies will be presented to the champions of each division. Junior high, high school and college players should not encounter any eligibility problems, but players are encouraged to check with their coaches to ensure eligibility. Rules for the tournament will be distributed at check-in on the day of the tournament. Teams may have up to four players but only three will play on the court at one time.
Cost to participate in the tournament is $45 per team. Cash and checks will be accepted and checks can be made payable to Eureka College Basketball. For more information, contact Eureka men’s basketball head coach Chip Wilde at (309) 467-6371 or cwilde@eureka.edu.
