Chip Wilde Announces Summer Youth Basketball Camps
EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College men’s basketball head coach Chip Wilde will host three different youth basketball camps this summer at the Reagan Center on the campus of Eureka College. Wilde will host a Father-Child Clinic on June 18, a Boys Day Camp from July 18 through July 21 and an Advanced Skills Camp on August 2.
The Father-Child Clinic is open to all boys and girls entering first through sixth grades and will start with registration at 9:15 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, June 18. The camp day will run from 9:30 a.m. until noon. There will be a father/child game starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by an awards ceremony. Campers will need gym shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to participate in camp. The cost of the camp is $25 for father and child and $5 for an additional child. The fee includes two hours of instruction, a t-shirt, a basketball, a certificate and the father/child game. To sign up for the camp, please send a registration form and payment to the Eureka College men’s basketball office. Campers may also register at the door during the first day of camp. Payment must be received at the start of both camps to participate.
The Boys Day Camp will start with registration at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 18th and is open to all boys entering first through 10th grades. The camp day will run from 9:00 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. Lunch will be provided on these days. The gym will be open at 8 a.m. for those who need to be dropped off before 9 a.m. On Thursday there will be an awards ceremony at 4:45 p.m. to conclude camp. Campers will need gym shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to participate in camp. The cost of the camp is $95 per camper. The fee includes four days of instruction, a t-shirt, a basketball and a certificate. To sign up for the camp, send the registration form and payment to the Eureka College Men’s Basketball Office. Campers may also register at the door during the first day of camp. Payment must be received at the start of both camps to participate.
Chip Wilde’s Boys Day Camp will be held in a small private school environment focusing on rules, regulations, strategies, teamwork and developing positive attitudes. Wilde will cover the fundamentals of basketball, as well as advanced skills through lectures, drills, contests and games. There will be a strong emphasis on learning and having fun.
The Advanced Skills camp will be hosted by Wilde on Tuesday, Aug. 2 and is open to all boys entering 10th through 12th grades. The camp cost is $25 and will include a t-shirt, 150 minutes of instruction from college coaches and players and a 40-minute scrimmage using college rules and regulations.
