GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Eureka College men’s soccer team held traditional St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference power Greenville to one goal through the first 45 minutes of Saturday’s match, but the host Panthers exploded for seven goals in the second half en route to an 8-0 league victory over the Red Devils in Greenville, Ill.
Cobi Allen’s 30th minute strike proved to be the match-winner for the Panthers. David Dunlop and Dan Ruder each scored twice for Greenville, who scored seven times in the span of 26-minutes, 35-seconds after halftime. The Red Devils attempted four shots, none of which were on goal.
Eureka will try to return to the win column on Wednesday when the Red Devils host league rival Blackburn at 3 p.m. at Traister Field.
