STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COUNCIL


The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) exists in order to enhance the student-athlete experience of Eureka College.

 

PURPOSES

 

- providing a communication link between varsity athletes & the athletic administration

 

- encouraging communication & unity among and between varsity athletes & teams

 

- enhancing school spirit through athletics

 

- increasing the awareness of athletic programs on campus and in the community

 

- promoting service learning among student-athletes

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

The council is comprised of one varsity athlete from each sport team and a representative from the athletic trainers association. Each team should also have an alternate representative selected to attend meetings if the appointed representative cannot attend. Council representatives are appointed by their respective coaches based on team member's recommendation. Representatives will be selected in the spring semester for the upcoming school year and will serve a one-year term and may be reappointed.
