Head Coach Stacey Sparks
Stacey Sparks will enter her first season as head softball coach at Eureka in 2010 after one season as an assistant coach. A Lincoln, Ill. native, Sparks is a 1992 graduate of Millikin University where she played basketball and softball and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. She completed an associate’s degree in journalism at Illinois Central College before earning a bachelor’s degree at Millikin in communications.

She set four single season records that still stand today: 14 doubles, .467 batting average, 43 runs batted in and 10 home runs hit in only 38 games played. Among numerous other awards and distinctions, she was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American and All-Region performer, while also becoming the first player at Millikin to record back-to-back seasons with at least a .400 batting average.
Sparks has continued to be very active in athletics. She has coached girl’s basketball at West Lincoln Junior High School and was the assistant coach for the Lincoln Land Community College Women’s Basketball Team. She has coached various YWCA and summer youth basketball and softball teams and spent two years coaching youth softball in Bloomington-Normal.
