Head Coach Jane Austin
The 2008-09 season will be Jane Austin's third at the helm of the Eureka College swimming program. She has also served as aquatics director of Reagan Pool in her time at Eureka.
Austin has coached swimming at various levels for over
20 years. Before returning to her alma mater, she spent 10 years coaching men's and women's
swimming at Bradley University. She was an assistant for seven seasons
before being promoted to head men's and women's coach in 1999. She was
voted Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2002 and is a two-time
Women's Swimming Coach of the Year for the MidEast Conference Championships.
Her swimming teams at Eureka have increased in depth and experience during her tenure. Red Devil swimmers consistently improve their times throughout the season under her guidance.
Austin served as the Eureka women's tennis coach from 2006-07. Her young squads were very competitive at the conference level, with sixth place finished both years despite not having the benefit of upper classmen experience.
A 1978 Eureka College graduate with a degree in physical education, Austin
has worked as Health Promotions Director for YWCA of Peoria since 1991. |
