The Eureka College swim teams returned to the pool at the Knox Triangular at Knox College Saturday. The EC men's team defeated Hannibal-LaGrange 201-185, but fell to Knox 287-186. The Eureka women's team dropped decisions of 438-226 to Hannibal-LaGrange and 400-231 to Knox.

The Red Devils were helped to their dual victory by Randy Dunn's first place finish in the men's 500 yard freestyle. He claimed the win in an exciting finish by 0.49 seconds. Dunn also took second place in the 100 backstroke. Blair Steffens recorded a third place in the men's 50 free, edging teammate Aaron Phelan by 0.08 seconds. Phelan's time marked the first of two personal bests on the day as he also registered his best time of the season in the 100 breaststroke with a third place finish in 1:14.48.

Natalie Wetterauer continued her fine season with a season best time in the women's 50 freestyle to take second place out of 10 swimmers. Alyssa Wetterauer claimed fourth in the same event in her first competition of the season. Natalie Wetterauer came back for another runner up finish in the 100 butterfly. Emma Benjamin competed at the 500 yard distance for the first time, and added to the team score by taking fourth place out of seven in the 500 free.
