women's 200 Free relay paces eC at Augustana Invite
The Eureka College men's and women's swimming teams each took sixth place out of eight squads in their most recent meet at the Augustana Invitational.
Eureka received a solid team performance in the women's 200 freestyle relay with a seventh place finish. The team of Emma Benjamin, Kelsey Hale, Elisa Peters and Natalie Wetterauer recorded a time 10 seconds faster than the previous meet. Individually, Wetterauer went on to a trio of ninth place finishes in three events and Benjamin had a top 10 and Eureka's best time in the 200 freestyle.
In the men's events, Randy Dunn and Aaron Phelan each registered two season low times apiece. Dunn scored his in the 100 and 200 backstroke and Phelan's came in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
This was the final event of 2008 for the Red Devils. The EC swimming schedule will pick back up Saturday, January 10 at the Knox College Invitational in Galesburg.
