Red Devils' season underway after Washington Twilight Meet

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Eureka track and field team opened its season at the Washington University Twilight Mini Meet Friday.  The event provided steep competition in the early going for EC.

Wayne O'Harrow (Crete, Ill./Bloom Trail) carded the best finish for the Red Devils by taking sixth place in the men's triple jump.  He was also one of three Red Devils with a ninth place finish, with his coming in the long jump.  Jacob Foor (Springfield, Ill./Lanphier) took ninth in the discus with a throw of 86' 10,'' while Jordan Vignoni (Lancaster, Calif./Quartz Hill) placed ninth with a toss of 37' 4'' in the shot put.

Next up for the track and field athletes is the First Chance Meet hosted by North Central College on Saturday, March 29 in Naperville, Ill.
