Beth is entering her second season as a Red Devil. She joined us from Lincoln
College where she played for two seasons. Beth is a hard worker and strives
to get better every single day. She is very quick in the back row and consistent
from the serving line. Beth's positive attitude and hard work is an inspiration
to everyone around her! She appeared in 14 matches last season, serving
six aces and recording 13 digs. Outside of volleyball Beth likes to hang
out with friends and watch movies. Beth is going to become a teacher after
graduation and hopes to find a job somewhere in the area.

Chelsea is entering her second year at Eureka College and on the volleyball
team. She transferred from Lincoln College where she played for two years.
Chelsea is going to make the transition from right to left hitter this season.
She is a very strong all-around player and a natural team leader in practices
and on the court. Her natural court sense is a huge advantage on top of
her desire to win! Chelsea had a strong finish to the 2006 season as the
Red Devils strived to make the conference tournament. She played in all
but one match, ranking third with 46 blocks and fourth with 188 kills. Her
single match highs are 18 kills (10/18/07 vs. Greenville), 4 aces (9/12/06
vs. Monmouth), 21 digs (9/2/06 vs. Rockford) and 7 blocks (9/1/06 vs. Beloit).
Outside of volleyball Chelsea likes to spend time with Jake as well as her
other friends and loves to sleep. After graduation Chelsea would like to
work at McLean County Orthopedics in Bloomington.

This is Emily's fourth year as starting Libero for Eureka College. She has
been involved in many campus activities such as: student government, admissions
ambassadors and the campus activities board as well as being a Presidential
Scholar. Emily is also a key player on the EC softball team. Emily works
extremely hard every single day in practice and never gives up pursuit after
the ball. She is very consistent and light on her feet while on the court.
She continues to pass balls that will amaze you. Emily has led the team
in digs in each of the last three years, accumulating 1,500 for her career.
She has always been reliable serving, with 77 aces and only 48 errors. Her
single match highs are 37 digs (10/13/06 vs. Fontbonne) and 8 aces (10/2/04
vs. Grace Bible). Emily is not sure what she will be doing after graduation,
but whatever she chooses, she will succeed! For fun Emily enjoys reading
and biking.

Sam is a fourth year starter for Eureka College. She plays hard and strives
for perfection in everything she does. She is a wonderful team leader and
keeps energy in practices and on the court. Sam has already broken the EC
blocking record and is on a quest to extend that as far as she possibly
can this season. She has 166 blocks so far in her career (79 solo, 87 assisted).
Sam has played in 315 out of the team's 316 games and all of Eureka's 87
matches over the last three seasons. She has 406 career kills, the most
of any returning player. Her career game-highs are 15 kills (11/5/05 vs.
Clarke) and 6 blocks (twice). After graduation Sam hopes to move to a warmer
climate and get a job as a director of a recreation center. She is a member
of the Delta Delta Pi sorority on campus. Outside of volleyball Sam enjoys
being with friends or sleeping.

Heather is starting her sophomore year at Eureka and her second season on
the volleyball team. She is a dominating outside hitter, with the versatility
to hit cross court or line consistently. With this she has an aggressive
goal to become the all-time kill leader at EC. Heather was one of three
players to appear in all 102 games last season. She led EC with 328 kills
(3.22/game) and ranked second with a .225 percentage in addition to 20 blocks
and 98 digs. Her single match highs are 22 kills (9/2/06 vs. Rockford) 10
digs (9/2/06 vs. Rockford) and 4 blocks (10/28/06 vs. Knox). She is currently
majoring in Psychology and Education. In her free time she likes to play
with her four little sisters as well as hang out with friends. Heather would
like to become a psychologist after graduation.

Laura is beginning her second year at Eureka College and on the volleyball
team. Laura is a very well rounded player on the court. She plays excellent
defense in right back and also is a threat in right front. Laura's goal
for the season is to lead the team in serving. She tied for second on the
team last year with 35 aces. She also scooped up 150 digs in 25 matches
in 2006. Her single game highs are 5 aces (9/27/06 vs. Blackburn) and 16
digs (10/13/06 vs. Fontbonne). Laura's favorite thing outside of volleyball
is to take naps. She is at Eureka to receive her teaching certification
and is going to be a high school math teacher when she graduates. Along
with Laura's intelligence, great attitude and natural volleyball skills
is her ability to solve the Rubik's Cube.
