Strong Faith leads Eureka to 3rd consecutive win
Chelsea Faith (Mt. Pulaski, Ill./HS) wasted little time improving on her career-high for kills that she set last week, putting away 20 Monday evening in Eureka's 3-1 (26-30, 32-30, 333-31, 30-28) triumph over Robert Morris College-Springfield. The win was the Red Devils' third consecutive, which is the longest this season. Both squads' season record is now 10-15.
The match also marked the return to the line up of Heather Myers (Eureka, Ill./HS). The sophomore recorded 16 kills and a .394 percentage in her first match back in exactly one month.
The Red Devils hit .272 for the match led by Kylie Bahorik's .440 percentage. She carded 12 kills and 42 assists.
Defensively, Faith matched a career-high with 25 digs, while Emily Forbes (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) had 18. Sam Poterek (Lee, Ill./Indian Creek) sent back three solo blocks.
The Red Devils are right back in action Tuesday night with a SLIAC match at home versus Greenville College at 7:00 pm. The Panthers defeated EC in four games in Greenville on Sept. 19.
