FULTON, Mo. -- The Eureka College volleyball team played three St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches in less than 18 hours Friday and Saturday in Fulton, Mo., dropping back-to-back matches to host Westminster before claiming a four-set victory over MacMurray Saturday morning at Westminster Gym.

Eureka (5-14, 4-8 SLIAC) dropped the first match of the road trip, a 25-8, 25-16, 25-12 decision to host Westminster Friday night.  Senior Paige Fannon (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) put down four kills.  The Red Devils were plagued by attack errors during the match and combined for only 13 kills as a team.

In Eureka’s next match against Westminster early Saturday morning, the Blue Jays put together a 25-23, 25-18, 25-12 triumph over the Red Devils.  Junior Shari Steidinger (Forrest, Ill./Prairie Central H.S.) led the offense with 10 kills, followed closely by senior Brittany Feger (Heyworth, Ill./Heyworth H.S.) and junior Kelli Dunne (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods H.S./Illinois Central) with nine kills apiece.  Senior setter Annette Crady (Germantown Hills, Ill./Metamora H.S.) had 29 assists in the contest and junior libero Courtney Kincaid (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central H.S.) tacked on 25 digs.

Dunne put together her best performance in a Eureka uniform in Saturday’s 25-18, 17-25, 25-7, 25-21 victory over MacMurray, collecting a career-high 22 kills.  Steidinger served up a career-high six aces for the Red Devils, the first time a Eureka player has recorded at least five service aces in a match since Kaurie Lindenmeyer had five against MacMurray on Nov. 2, 2010.  Steidinger also recorded five block assists, while Crady added 39 assists.

The Red Devils will return to the Reagan Center this Tuesday, hosting Principia in a SLIAC match at 7 p.m.
