Eureka College was founded by abolitionists from Kentucky who were members of a religious movement known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and were committed to providing young people a broad, liberal education. These pioneers believed in an education infused with values as a basis for leadership. Chartered by the Illinois Legislature in 1855, Eureka was the first college in the state and third in the nation to admit men and women on an equal basis. Eureka College was designated by the National Park Service as a Campus Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places in June 2010.

SLIAC Women's Wrestling Championships

Eureka College is hosting the SLIAC Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Championships in the Reagan Friday and Saturday. Since this is a SLIAC Championship and not a Eureka College Athletics event, there is a fee for admission to get in and normal Eureka admission passes will not apply.

Tournament Admission Cost: $10 per day for adults

$ 7 per day for seniors (over 62)

$ 7 per day for non-SLIAC students

Children under 10 are free

Eureka students will need to show their student IDs at the admission table to get in free.
