Charles Geitner ’57 was recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Non-Profit Educational Services as a result of his role as a Coordinator with the Veterans History Project. In his current position, Charles is responsible for Strategic Planning; Non-Profit Management; Public Speaking; Community Outreach; Research; Event Planning; Social Media; Public Relations; Event Management; Coaching; and Editing. In addition, Charles is responsible for Teaching High School Students how to Interview Veterans about their Experiences.

60’s

Alan Bone ’60 was honored by the Luray (SC) Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on the 50th anniversary of his ordination and the beginning of his ministry with that congregation. Alan’s ordination actually took place on June 16, 1963 at the former West Bluff Christian Church, Peoria.

Bruce Darnall ’66 has written an article titled “White Sox Jesse Crain Finds Setbacks a Good Thing in Moving Forward” on former Chicago White Sox (presently Tampa Bay Ray) pitcher, Jesse Crain. It was published on-line by Athletes in Action, the sports ministry for Campus Crusade for Christ. It tells about his life and his Christian faith. 80’s

Lee Ann Ottosen Harper ’80 is a guidance counselor at Tri-Valley High School. She resides in Bloomington, IL, with her husband Kurt and children Danielle and Brent.

Jason Redman ’04 is an Instructor of English at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Jason resides in Auburn, KY.

Cheryl Russell ’05 graduated with a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School in May 2013. She was ordained to Christian Ministry at Zionsville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on Aug. 10, 2013. Cheryl is an associate minister at Geist Christian Church.

Sara Boeke Standridge ’07 recently moved to permanent residence in Eureka, KS with her husband, Matt. He has opened his own private dental office in town and Sara will be working with him as his Front Desk Coordinator. They just bought their first home, and are enjoying small town life with their two cats, Rosa and Boots. Alum Aaron Davis ’07 grew up in this small town with Sara’s husband.

Michael Fredericks ’08 recently earned a Master of Science Degree in Teaching of Biological Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He and his wife Emily Winner Fredericks ’09 reside in Princeton, IL. Michael will be entering his sixth year teaching biology and human anatomy & physiology at Princeton High School. Michael is also the sophomore boys’ basketball coach.

Julie Stroebel Barichello ’09 has accepted a position as page design editor at Sauk Valley Media in Sterling, IL. Julie is responsible for coordinating the design and production of Sauk Valley Media’s daily newspapers and its agricultural niche magazine, Ag Mag.

Kristi Muller ’11 has joined Heartland Bank and Trust Company as Mortgage Banker to the Peoria lending team.
