An innovative initiative that has received national attention
a private
college education at an affordable price with straightforward answers |
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?
We keep our tuition as low as possible and combine
it with merit scholarships to reward you for the hard work you have done. This combination helps federal and state aid
have maximum impact and you get all the benefits of a private college education all at a cost that normally is reserved
for large, impersonal universities. You get a great, quality education and a better value for your hard earned money.
WHY DOESN’T EVERYONE DO THIS?
We thought the same thing and the answer is
that some people are willing to pay extraordinarily large amounts of money for what they consider prestige. Schools
even negotiate with families on the price—this is called “discounting”— and results in an unfair wheeling and dealing
process that results in you paying more than someone else to attend the same college. We think this is wrong and don’t
do it. Our price and scholarships are all up-front—you can even figure out what your own scholarship will be from us.
WHAT ABOUT QUALITY AND PRESTIGE?
We were founded by leaders and we’re
committed to leadership. After all, how many other schools that you’re applying to have created and nurtured a President
of the United States? That directly speaks to our quality and prestige. Eureka College alumni include 42 college presidents,
seven governors and members of Congress, and of course, the 40th President of the U.S. — Ronald Reagan.
WANT MORE?
Look into our Reagan Leadership Program and our Sandifer Mentorship Programs. Check
into the details — no huge hidden fees that add to your college costs and our full time tuition includes up to 18
semester hours per semester—others charge more on top of regular tuition We don't have "hidden" costs. We’re not afraid to show all of our costs upfront...because...we know we are an exceptional value. In fact, U.S. News has consistently ranked us among schools in the #1 Value in the Midwest—Great
Schools/Great Prices category!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What about need based aid?
Eureka College is trying to get away from the vicious cycle of need based aid by lowering the tuition.
What about merit-based aid?
This is where Eureka College is putting its scholarship monies. We want to reward you with scholarships and awards you have earned. These merit-based awards are not based on expected family contributions-if you qualify academically, talent or service-wise, the scholarship is yours. That's it! The idea is to make EC as affordable as state institutions. We're keeping the overall cost low for an excellent, private education.
Can I stack scholarships?
Un-funded Eureka College based awards are stackable to $6,500.
What about external scholarships?
You can stack and add any and all funded external scholarships to pay the full amount.
What if I drop below the full-time level?
Students will pay part time tuition amounts based upon their tuition level since aid is based on that level.
What about the cost of overload credits?
The overload fees will be the same for everyone.
More value:
Look closely: some schools charge tuition for a maximum of 16 hours charging you overload fees, at Eureka College you can take up to 18 hours with no overload fee. This is another way of supporting excellent students!
I'm an international student -
Do these scholarships apply to me?
Yes, you qualify for Eureka College scholarships, awards and grants as would any other student.
