Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Associate Professor of Accounting has a diverse education with degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, and a minor in Industrial Technology. Additionally, he completed a master's degree in Accounting and was awarded the Outstanding ISU Graduate Student in Accounting. Professor Burns' education is complemented by his professional work experience, which includes both public and private accounting: he has worked for small and large manufacturers and in a public accounting firm. Ms. Marjorie Rubash
Associate Professor of Business Administration, has over 20 years experience in teaching business. Courses include business finance, international business, entrepreneurship, advertising, and strategy and policy. As International Studies coordinator, she has taken numerous college students to Europe and is developing further international study opportunities. Much of her work has been with the Prague University of Economics in the Czech Republic. She holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Bradley University. email

Dr. Erika Quinn
Assistant Professor of History Erika Quinn teaches European and World history courses. Her research interests lie in Central European cultural history, focusing on questions of identity and ideology. She is currently completing a manuscript on the nineteenth-century piano virtuoso Franz Liszt, as well as researching twentieth-century German war widows. Dr. Junius Rodriguez
Associate Professor of History, and division chair, specializes in African American History and has done extensive research on slave revolts. He has published several award winning reference encyclopedias on various aspects of the history of slavery and also developed a History Channel documentary on slavery. Dr. Wesley Phelan
Associate Professor of Political Science, specializes in constitutional law and is the college's pre-law advisor. He has edited and contributed to study guides for preparation for the Law School Admissions Test, the Advanced Placement in Political Science Test, and the Graduate Record Exam. Dr. Phelan has published numerous articles and is a regular contributor to the Washington Weekly, a US national politics electronic magazine, and to WorldNetDaily. SOCIOLOGY
Dr. William J. Staudenmeier, Jr.
Professor of Sociology, is a nationally known specialist on drug and alcohol problems in the workplace. A West Point Graduate, he helped pioneer workplace treatment programs for military addicts and alcoholics as an Air Force Social Actions Officer in the early 1970's. Over the last decade, he has given international scope to his work by conducting research in the United Kingdom and presenting research papers in England, Scotland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and France. Additionally, Professor Staudenmeier has been a Visiting Scientist at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University. Dr. Staudenmeier is Past President of the Illinois Sociological Association and past member of the Board of Directors of the Midwest Sociological Society. B.S.
