Applying for Finanical Assistance

The first steps

To be eligible to receive any type of Eureka College financial assistance, including scholarships, prospective students must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - see link above.

To receive full consideration for all aid programs applications for Fall Semester should be submitted by: April 1, 2008.

FAFSA forms may be submitted electronically via the on-line link as soon as possible
after: January 1, 2008.

This method provides a faster turn around of your application and in turn allows the colleges to which you apply prepare a financial aid package for you in a more timely manner. If you have any questions while filling out the FAFSA, please feel free to contact our office.

MONETARY AWARD PROGRAM - MAP

By applying for financial aid and agreeing to share that information with the Illinois Student Assitance Commission (ISAC) you have been considered for the State of Illinois Monetary Award Program Grant. This award may be an estimate made by the financial aid office and, if so, is identified as a "State of IL MAP Grant (Est)". MAP grants are limited based on the number of applicants and funding levels appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly. Please be aware that in light of state funding constraints, reductions to estimated or actual MAP grants are possible. Click for more information.

FEDERAL WORK STUDY - FWS

If determined to meet the eligibility criteria for Federal Work Study, it will be indicated on your award letter. You will be allowed to interview for any open position on-campus. Once you have secured a position, and have filled out the necessary paperwork (W-4, I-9, copies of your driver's license and Social Security Card) you will be paid every two weeks for the hours worked.
