the moment is now

president arnold quote

Like our nation during the Reagan era...

Eureka College has overcome considerable economic challenges.

Through prudent fiscal management and sustained record enrollment growth, the College has overcome years of deficits and completed two consecutive years with balanced budgets and cash surpluses - with a third positive fiscal year in progress. Response to our Annual Fund appeal is integral to continued progress on the path to financial health and vitality. And as our enrollment grows, we must ensure that the College remains affordable for students through our extensive scholarship and mentorship programs.

For example, this year we will award $2.6 million in scholarships and mentorships - only $238,000 is supported by endowment funds. The Moment is Now!, Eureka’s new Annual Fund, is our important source of non-tuition revenue each year.

the moment is now

The steps we take today will have a lasting impact on the future of the College, our current and future students, and through them, the nation and world.  Our strategic plan, Growth with Integrity, provides an inspiring vision for the future and a roadmap on how to get there. We will continue to add and improve facilities, strengthen and expand programs, and attract and retain an accomplished faculty - all of which will contribute to the vibrant, student-centered collegiate learning environment that sets Eureka apart.

By combining an inspiring vision for the future with a strong financial plan, and your continued support, together we will accomplish great things today and in the future.

"As a physician, I think back fondly about my years at Eureka college. Being a “non-traditional” student (older and married with children) did not interfere with my ability to fit in and be part of the Eureka community. I always felt welcome and felt like my voice was heard. I was an active member of the community and as president of Nu Tau Epsilon (non-traditional student organization) and Sigma Zeta (science and math honor society), I developed the leadership skills imperative to being a good physician.

Eureka gave me the strong science background to allow me to succeed in medical school. Being at an Ivy League medical school was very intimidating at first, with many students from prestigious institutions such a Harvard, Yale, BYU, Washington U, Brown, etc but it quickly became apparent that I was as prepared and often more prepared than those other students because of my diverse, well-rounded education. Many times classmates would say "Where did you learn about that?" and I would say in undergrad and their response would be "We never covered that". My parasitology instructor took note and stated that he has never had a student before who knew so much about parasites because most undergrad institutions do not cover them. However, Eureka does.

Not only did my science education help me in medical school, but my well rounded liberal arts education allows me to talk to my patients intelligently about history, art, literature, and although dangerous even religion and politics."

"I may live and work in
New Hampshire now but the Ivy still grows in my heart.
