Maroon & Gold – Recapping December 2013
A Note From Home…
Christmastime is HERE….
And it sure has come quickly! Sometimes in the busy-ness of preparing to celebrate this blessed season, I can easily succumb to feeling like I’m just not ready. I am reminded today that the most important thing that needs to be ready is ME. Is my heart in the right place? Am I focusing on things or people, making memories with them and really enjoying the time spent together?
Yes, preparation is the key to success and the Alumni/Development Office does alot of preparation for the many opportunities we present to connect our alumni to their alma mater. But, really appreciating the people present…be it family at home or our alumni family during the events we offer them…that is the key to enjoying this time of year.
I thank God for the reason we celebrate and for those I get to celebrate with in so many ways.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!

Dr. Logsdon’s Studs Terkel Project Spotlight
Dr. Loren Logsdon, Professor Emeritus of English, has captured the spirit of Eureka College history in a special project he fondly calls the “Studs Terkel Project.” The project is a collection of alumni memories and stories which weave a rich tapestry of the Eureka College experience during the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s.
This collection of stories is available in the Online EC Bookstore.
