Welcome to Eureka College Reagan Resources online
Before Ronald Reagan was a Hollywood film star, Governor of California, and President of the United States, he was a student at Eureka College. Throughout his career, he maintained a lifelong relationship with the college, viisiting the campus many times as an alumnus, a trustee, an Honorary Doctor, a governor, and of course, as President of the United States. This relationship is documented in the many linear feet of college records, published materials, photos, and videos held by the Eureka College Archives. These collections are organized into three main groups: Texual Materials, Photographic and Media, and Museum Artifacts.
The Textual Materials Collection is part of the Alumni Records Group (RG19.1932.R287r) and are desribed at the series level with a list of file folder headings for each series.
Photographic Materials are in most cases linked to campus events and are filed with the larger photo collection. A list of those campus events is provided. Some materials are still in process as part of the museum collection are will be listed separately.
The Museum Collection contains artifacts and realia, many of which were donated to the College by President and Mrs. Reagan during his years in the white house.
The Archives also maintains a growing collection of published volumes by and about Ronald Reagan. While many titles are part of our circulating collection, the Archives is the repository for all "first" copies of published works in its possession.
The Museum is Open Daily throughout the school year and Monday through Friday during the summer. The Archives are open by appointment, generally from the hours of 8:30-4:30
