‘Maroon and Golden Rule’ service day to provide spring cleanup help, child care,
for Eureka residents

College Community to Help Eureka Residents

For the second straight year, Eureka College students will hold a community service day to provide Eureka residents with spring cleanup help and child care.  The “Service: The Maroon and Golden Rule” project will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
April 17 and will offer yard work, painting, cleaning, window-washing and child care.

Residents may download and complete a job request form below, or contact associate dean of students Shari Rich at srich@eureka.edu or 467-6421 by
March 15.

The project stems from a grant received last year by Eureka College senior Ashley Warchol of Coulterville from Illinois

“The project’s title, named for our school colors, epitomizes treating others the way that you want to be treated, by offering the campus community’s help to people in the Eureka community,” Warchol said.  “It’s a way to say thank you to the community for its ongoing support of the college.”

Last year, 40 students assisted 15 residents and organizations.
