Eureka College fraternity to teeter-totter for Washington tornado relief

  Members of the Delta Sigma Phi social fraternity at Eureka College will hold a teeter-totter marathon from 4 p.m. March 22 to 4 p.m. March 23 in the town square at the intersection of Route 24 and Main Street in downtown Washington. Bible-inspired musicals topic of Eureka College presentation

Eureka College associate professor of theatre Marty Lynch will present “The Bible According to Musical Theatre: A Survey of Musicals That Use Scripture as Source Material” at 7:30 p.m. March 20 in the Cerf Center at Eureka College. EC students to showcase talents

  The 4th annual Eureka College Talent Show will be at 7 p.m. March 21 in Becker Auditorium in the Cerf Center. The show will feature Eureka College students who have been selected by audition to showcase various talents, including vocal solos and ensembles, instrumental solos and ensembles, beat boxing, rapping, magic tricks, dance, poetry readings, dramatic monologues and storytelling. EC to host third annual Writers Festival

Poet Stephen Roger Powers and novelist and short story writer Teresa Milbrodt will be the featured authors at the third annual Eureka College Writers Festival. Powers and Milbrodt will read from their works at 7:30 p.m. on March 27 and 28, respectively. A question-and-answer session, book-signing and reception will follow each event. EC freezes room and board costs for 2014-2015

  Eureka College Trustees voted Feb. 7 to freeze room and board costs for the 2014-2015 academic year. The vote came on the heels of the board’s decision in October to also freeze tuition at this year’s rate.
