Eureka College has set open houses to provide prospective students with information about its weekend degree completion program. The program allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership on weekends and prepares them to assume management-focused leadership positions at organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Open houses will be at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 18 and Oct. 16 in Burgess Hall at Eureka College, Eureka; 7 p.m. Sept. 21 and Oct. 14 in the Founder’s Room in the Academic Building at Illinois Central College, East Peoria; 7 p.m. Sept. 30 in room C-325 at Illinois Valley Community College; and 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 in the foyer of the Instructional Commons Building at Heartland Community College, Normal, and 7 p.m. Oct. 19 in Room 1406 in the Community Commons Building at Heartland.

The weekend format is geared toward individuals who find it challenging to complete a degree in a regular semester format. Those with a transferable associate's degree or who have completed a minimum of 51 hours of transferable credit hours are eligible to be considered for admission.

Classes meet five successive semesters every other weekend on Friday evenings and all day Saturdays. It takes approximately 20 months to complete. It is based on a cohort model in which students take every class together throughout the entirety of the program.
