EC Exhibit to Feature Photos of Architectural Gardens
September 3 - October 8
Eureka College junior Justin Dwyer of Chillicothe will present a photography exhibit titled “Art From My Eye” Sept. 3 through Oct. 8 in the Burgess Hall Art Gallery at Eureka College. A free artist’s reception will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 3 in the gallery. The public is welcome.
The works are from a collection of images Dwyer has taken over the past several years and include portraitures and photos from nature. The works include high dynamic range images taken in architectural gardens. The HDR process involves taking three photos of the same image at different camera settings then processing them through software to give them a kind of three-dimensional look, Dwyer said.
Dwyer is the son of Bill and Pris Dwyer of Chillicothe. He is majoring in environmental science at Eureka College. He is a 2002 graduate of Illinois Valley Central High School and a 2006 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in St. Paul.
The Eureka College art gallery is located on the third floor of Burgess Memorial Hall, 300 E. College Ave. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment by calling (309) 467-6866.
