EC student group to receive philanthropy award

up 'til dawn

The Eureka College Up 'til Dawn student organization has been selected to receive an Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award from the Central Illinois Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The group will receive the award at the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon at the Embassy Suites, East Peoria, Nov. 10. 

The Up ‘til Dawn group raises funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Since 2007, the Eureka group has raised more than $78,000 for St. Jude. In 2008, the group was recognized for raising more money than any other school in Illinois south of Chicago.
