Eureka College Chorale, Chamber Singers to Present Concert

november 13 - 4:00 pm - becker auditorium

   

The Eureka College Chorale and Chamber Singers will present their fall concert at 4 p.m. Nov. 13 in Becker Auditorium in the Cerf Center. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.  

The program will include “Dixit Dominus” from Mozart’s “Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, K.339;” “Sing a Mighty Song” by Daniel E. Gawthrop; “Feller From Fortune” arranged by Harry Somers; “Song of Ruth” by David N. Childs; “Baba Yetu” by Christopher Tin; and selected Renaissance madrigals by Thomas Morley and polyphonic lieder by Hans Leo Hassler. Additional solos and duets will be performed by students representing piano and voice studios.

Music professor Joseph Henry will direct the vocal ensembles. Assistant professor of music Pamela Bates will provide piano accompaniment. For more information, contact Henry at (309) 467-6397.
