Kendi Onnen of Eureka received the Eureka College staff recognition award at the annual holiday dinner for faculty and staff Dec. 9.
Onnen is associate registrar. She has been employed at the college since 2005.
Onnen serves as a key member of the Records Office team, providing leadership in the daily operations of the office and ensuring that the office provides the highest level of customer service to the campus community.
Onnen is co-chairwoman of the Information Technology Advisory Committee, which helps promote and support the effective use of information technology in Eureka College's academic programs and supports the various departmental functions required to efficiently operate the college. She also is a member of the Retention Intervention Team.
Onnen graduated from Roanoke-Benson High School. She has a bachelor’s degree from Eureka College.
One staff award is given annually to recognize an exemplary staff member. Nominations and the selection are made by students, faculty and staff. The recognition includes cash awards for the winner’s use and for use within the winner’s department.
