Photography exhibit opens Sept. 5 at Eureka College

Kasey wells exhibition

An exhibition of photography and design work by Kasey Wells titled “Shine a Light” will be displayed Sept. 5-Oct. 3 in Burgess Hall Art Gallery at Eureka College. An artist’s reception that is open to the public will be from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 5 in the gallery.

Wells teaches basics in digital arts courses at Illinois State University. An exhibit of his works titled “The Sunshine Underground” is on display at the University Galleries at ISU through Sept. 12.

Wells attended Eureka College from 1997 to 1999 where he was undecided about a major. He credits the college’s art professors for being the catalysts for his career in art. “Their support and encouragement helped inspire me to embrace the artist within and set me on the path I am traveling today,” he said.

Wells received a bachelor of fine arts degree and a master’s degree in arts technology, both from ISU.

The Eureka College art gallery is located on the third floor of Burgess Memorial Hall, 300 E. College Ave. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and by appointment by calling 467-6866.
