Eureka College to unveil renovated Dickinson Commons dining hall in public ceremony Aug. 14
renovations are complete
Eureka College will unveil the $2.1 million expansion and renovation of its Dickinson Commons dining hall at 10 a.m. Aug. 14. The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the corner of College and Burgess streets. Refreshments will be offered.
The upgrade led by Core Construction features a modern food court with six serving stations that replace the original cafeteria design in use since the facility was built in 1961. A 45-foot addition to the west of the building houses a new state-of-the-art kitchen and new offices and restrooms. Seating capacity has been increased by 25 percent to accommodate the college’s growing student population.
Dickinson Commons will be open to the public during the school year for breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekdays and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.
