Eureka College Announces New Faculty Members

Eureka College has announced new faculty members for the 2008-2009 academic year that begins Aug. 27.

 

In the humanities division, new faculty members include assistant professor of creative writing Ezekiel Jarvis, who formerly taught at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and visiting assistant professor of communication Amanda Frioli, who formerly taught at Illinois State University. Also hired are assistant professor of religion William Wright and assistant professor of English Jessica Barr, both who were visiting assistant professors at Eureka College last year.

 

Hired in the science and mathematics division are assistant professors of mathematics Prabhu Venkataraman, who formerly taught at the University of Florida, and Theodore Rice, who formerly taught at Southern Methodist University. Also hired are assistant professors of chemistry Kenneth Annan, who formerly taught at the University of Maryland–Eastern Shore, and Kevin Stillman, who formerly taught at the University of Wisconsin.

 

Hired in the social science and business division are associate professor of psychology Ann Fulop, a former human factors engineer at State Farm Insurance, and assistant professor of psychology Mikell Allen, a 2003 graduate of Eureka College who is completing doctoral studies.

 

In the fine and performing arts division, Pamela Bates has been hired as assistant professor of music. She formerly taught at Bradley University and has been an adjunct faculty member and piano accompanist at Eureka College for more than 10 years.
