Children Welcome to Audition for Eureka College Production of ‘Winnie the Pooh’

August 26 - 6:30 to 8:30 pm in pritchard theatre

Children are welcome to audition for the Eureka College and Eureka College Women’s Board theater production of “Winnie the Pooh.”

Auditions will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in Pritchard Theatre at Eureka College. For more information, call (847) 609-9337.

The production is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 12-13 and 2 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Cerf Center at Eureka College. Eureka College students Deanna Palmer of Bloomingdale and Erin Tuch-Krause of Lake in the Hills will direct.

Adapted from the children’s stories by A.A. Milne, the production introduces Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Owl, Eeyore and Rabbit in a quest for honey. Problems arise when Kanga, a stranger to the forest, brings a bathtub and soap. The animals run in fear, until Piglet shows that it’s not so scary to be clean. 

Admission will be $5 for children and $10 for adults. Proceeds will support the women’s board, which raises funds for various projects benefiting Eureka College.
